Landrover has issued a new recall to all Freely TD4 owners with regard to the possible malfunction of the electrical heating device as standard on all diesel engines for northern and eastern Europe.

Yes, it (P011) is sent in the mail in September. Germany is not quickest out with this warning.

No it is fully repaired as they said they confirmed they would have the parts before our appointment. They said it would take about 4 hours; it took about 2 1/2 as my good lady waited drinking their lovely coffee.

Just booked mine in too - they tell me the replacement part isn't available yet, so they're just pulling the heater fuse for now. Strange.... it doesn't take 4 hours to pull a fuse. Someone is not on the level. - Mike |

Well, I drove the car from cold AM [2 Deg C) (I normally drive our other car during the week and haven't driven our FL for about 4 weeks). It heated up just like before i.e. after about two minutes driving plently of warm air was coming out of the vents.

Maybe German customers have priority and get the available parts while we wait until February with our pants down .

Andy, according to my knowledge for certain countries Landrover supplies the Freely 2 with the diesel driven preheater as standard and not with the (cheaper) electrical version.
