I wouldn't believe what you see on that display. I recently did a trip down to Portugal and back and actually kept all the fuel receipts and recorded the mileages because it was my first long trip with the car. When I got home my display read an average of 42.8mpg but working it out using the receipts the actual average mpg was 36. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

Crazy though it seems, even with a personal fuel bill north of £500 a month, I wouldn't change it for anything! If you could work out a way of getting enough cash together, they're brilliant Unfortunately the new ones are running out fast and we now know they'll never build anything like it again |

After not resetting my display for 2-3 weeks, my average MPG has settled to 39.0mpg and hasn't budged for a day or two now. "We're in danger, we've got to get out."

From my experience not resetting the trip after fueling up eventually leads to a loop situation and MPG read out never moves. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Aberystwyth to Torquay , 45mpg on the trip computer, 42mpg manual check. More than happy with 2 pax and a large dog! On the motorway it was averaging 47mpg _ steady 65mpg cruise control. |

So after the first ~800 miles i've covered, i've filled up three times, on each occasion I have taken the odometer reading and brimmed the car. Second fill up it achieved 35.31 mpg, on the third fill up it achieved 38.44 mpg. Hopefully see this increase a bit after a few good long runs. |

So for the journey from Hereford to Stranraer (355 miles) I filled up to the brim with Sainsbury's diesel.
