Does anybody know what the Tracking figures should be when I get my car checked

I normally go for the super track where they place the lights on the wheels and check between the front and rear  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Did you ever get a response to this? Mine needs doing...

Surely a reputable garage/tracking center will have the figures? there are plenty of Fl2 's around now? At work

I have booked it into a 4 wheel laser alignment place who say they have the the specs. I'll let you know how it goes!

I noticed the other day that my steering wheel isn't dead centre when driving straight

I asked my dealer about it, but he hinted that it would be expensive, and most tyre places can do as good a job, for a lot less.

I thought if the wheels were ok and the steering wheel was off it was a case of removing the steering wheel and refitting if on the splines correctly so it lines up.

Right enough with all the electrics in the FL steering wheel it might be more tricky, who knows

last time I had this done (on an Astra after I left the road in the snow) they jammed the steering wheel straight then adjusted the tracking to suit. At work

An update on the tracking...

I booked it into the 4 wheel alignment centre in Liverpool where the dealers take the cars to from the area. (Audi wanted £160 which is £95 mark up to drive it around the corner as I know this is where the Liverpool Audi dealer take them!)

On Sat. I had all 4 wheels aligned on the 'magic' laser machine and am happy to report my FL2 drives like new once again, it tracks perfectly now and the steering wheel is dead centre. It cost £65 for front and rear and they had the manufacturers specs already uploaded in their computer database so would recommend them.

I also asked them about the issue of it going out when off-roading and the owner was clear that it won't affect the settings if you are smooth over bumps it is hard impacts like banging up a kerb or not slowing down for bumps off road that affect it...

Would agree with above ... my car has had its far share of 'play time' and the alignment still appears to 100%. No pull on steering, steering wheel position still spot on (and I'm hyper critical about this) and tyre wear even all around (btw original rubber now at + 46k miles )

Experience with 4 wheel alignmet on my previous car (which had a fault at delivery) was that the guys in the dealers work shop did not have the expertise on four wheel alignment to correctly use the very good equipemt they had. If the dealer has both the best equipemnt AND soemone epxerienced in using it thats fine, but I think that combination is more likely to be found at a specialist tyre/wheel depot. Stornoway Grey GS ...
