I thought if the wheels were ok and the steering wheel was off it was a case of removing the steering wheel and refitting if on the splines correctly so it lines up.

last time I had this done (on an Astra after I left the road in the snow) they jammed the steering wheel straight then adjusted the tracking to suit. At work |

Actually I was on my way to Lockton/Levisham(N.York moors) to see a girl whose sister is now the blond nurse on Heartbeat. CG mixes it with the stars ![]() ![]() At home ![]() "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

Would agree with above ... my car has had its far share of 'play time' and the alignment still appears to 100%. No pull on steering, steering wheel position still spot on (and I'm hyper critical about this) and tyre wear even all around (btw original rubber now at + 46k miles ![]() Experience with 4 wheel alignmet on my previous car (which had a fault at delivery) was that the guys in the dealers work shop did not have the expertise on four wheel alignment to correctly use the very good equipemt they had. If the dealer has both the best equipemnt AND soemone epxerienced in using it thats fine, but I think that combination is more likely to be found at a specialist tyre/wheel depot. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor ![]() ![]() Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013. |
