What do you mean by erratic. Doses the fob/fobs turn on the ignition and start the car. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

The key fob is a "brick" type one that slots into a hole by the steering wheel, on a 12 plate XS auto.

Either the fob receiver or the brake switch is problematic. |

Sorry I didn't explain it that well. I do know how they work I use to have one, by the way you can change the battery check out YouTube it shows you. What I meant is will the fob go into the slot ok and eject ok and can you turn on the ignition on without starting the engine. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

But does the ignition come. Try just putting the fob in and press the start button without depressing the clutch pedal..... presuming it's is a manual and if the ignition lights come then I can't see it being a fob problem. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Ok press the start button without depressing the brake pedal to see if it brings the ignition on. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

No, not until I go ahead, press the brake pedal, then start the engine. |

It's starting to sound strange with your radio and sat nav working but I still don't think it the fob that's the problem. It needs a diagnostic doing generally around £50. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green
