you could remove the existing badges and spray them with gloss plasti dip paint or similar, then refit them |

I suspect that's what I'll do - polish and clean the area like mad and hope that 8 years worth of sunshine won't have faded the surrounding paint too much! |

Didn't see any color change on my 2008 when it was done some weeks ago but please note every color reacts differently to sun light.

I once read a report about BMW saying that you could pay extra for the "delete badge option". In the UK it was generally only ordered for the bottom end models whilst in Germany it was usually ordered for the top end models. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

In Germany you can choose with or without when you order a new car with no extra charge.

I was told (in Germany) that people do this so that they aren't seen to have a more expensive model than their boss. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
