You could always drill and tap the flat spot on the bottom of the diff, you know the one that looks like the manufacturer designed for a drain plug before the bean counters said "no don't do that it might cost 50p per unit".

Hmmm, sounds like I have the same problem... Difference is I live in the Auvergne so have a long trek to Bell Engineering to get it sorted

It's less than 700miles to bell engineering, make a weekend of it and try some of the local beer

Ha, ha, ha... I've done the same many times. Last time I flew back to UK on a Thursday to by a Disco, arranged to view some Horse boxes Friday, ready to drive back with both Saturday morning.

If anyone is interested, reports in the FT say that Haldex is likely to be bought by gearbox make ZF Does anyone know what gearboxes LR uses?

The auto box is by Aisin (Japanese) 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

The Transverse autos are Aisin and manuals Getrag, the longitudinal are ZF. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
