Ideally you need a decent diagnostic tool that's able to read all the cars modules, also useful for checking and resetting fault codes, or perhaps you need to find someone locally who has one and is willing to help.

You can have the car programmed to include the sunroof in the 3 second push opening or closing setting. I did this on my 2008 HSE and works fine. Holding down the unlock button for 3 seconds opens all windows and the sunroof, too. Nice to get the heat out of the car quickly. Same for locking the car, just hold down the lock button for 3 seconds and all windows and sunroof are closed. |

From what you describe it seems the "open" button sticks down when pressed.

Yes, it does seem that way. Guess I can live with it as the fob works fine for starting the car, just a pain when unlocking. Only dead fish go with the flow |

I guess the microswitch is sticking. You could carefully split the case to gain access to "exercise" it. Do a search for key fob battery replacement on here for info on splitting the case. It is either that or a new fob - £££ 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I agree with the switch sticking diagnosis. I had the same with one of my keyfobs, it didn't work at all when I got it due to some kind of liquid ingress and a flat battery. I cleaned it up and replaced the battery but had the same effect as Gapster. I replaced the switch with one from a faulty Disco 3 keyfob I'd kept from ages ago and voila - 2 fully functional fobs |

Not only possible to change with the fob, but also from the instrument cluster options. |
