Not really sure what you mean... The insurance companies don't have to know whether cars come from the factory with privacy glass. Aftermarket tint is film, so any cars out there with film on the windows are modified. Simple as that. The onus is on you to declare any modifications. Yours didn't come with privacy glass so that's a modification. And it's very easy to tell if it ever gets inspected. If you retrofit PROPER privacy glass, you might well get away with it! |

You took the point I was trying to make too literally. It was tongue in cheek. You obviously have more faith in insurance companies than I do. OK... when you collide with another car on the motorway as you're both swapping lanes, or when you reverse into a parked car, or when you don't notice the motorbike coming up your inside... I think you may have problems if they find undeclared window film on your windows. |
