Front End Rattle Cured

I had been getting a rattling noise from the front suspension on rough surfaces. On investigation I found that the FOS-drop link could easily be moved by hand. Looked at prices and settled on genuine ones from Dan at Duckworth. They arrived next day and took me about an hour to fit. Easy job but do not forget to order new nuts as they are not supplied with the links. Total cost was around £65. Couple of tips, spray the nuts with a good dose of WD40 and make sure you have a decent hex key as you will struggle with a cheap Allen key set to hold the spindles when you are undoing the nuts. Result is a rattle free front end.

No probs

The stabalizer bar link Item 2. They are also called the anti-roll bar link rods. It was the lower ball joints that were worn on mine.

I had the same ARB drop link issue on mine - only on the rear, nice easy cheap fix and made a world of difference to the drive after hearing it rattle and clonk on every pothole. Thumbs Up

Hi! Clive, I couldnt believe it was cured so easily and cheaply. I was dreading what else could be causing the rattle if theae had not cured it.
