You could have dirt even a small amount of and water in tank that picks up only in circumstances you explain. Might be worth seeing if your fuel filter is full of muck again. If so getting the tank cleaned out should be a help and use a better supplier of fuel as well. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

My first thought was blocked filter again but technician could not find any codes logged, hence drove home in limp mode. Cannot understand how can be on reduced power and not show any codes. |

A long shot, but when the fuel sender/gauge system plays up you can end up in limp mode. Any chance the tank side to side transfer pump is playing up and only shows itself on hills?

No mate. Still reduced power. Had towing electrics done 12 months ago. Upgrade to 13 pin. All seems fine till you get on a hard climb. Went all way to Lanark 2 weeks ago with no probs. Coming home failed on long climb on A66. It's the no codes I cannot understand. Something caused it to go reduced power so should have logged a code. |

Not sure when this kicks in but tank was 75% full at the time. Take it the tank is like a motorbike with hump in middle. |

Just had it on diagnostics near home. Seems actuator on turbo had stuck. Cleared fault runs great now. He thinks previous owner was too light footed and it just needs driving harder to get it used to working again. |

Read the input from lookatmema on 28 June 2012 on this link I have found. Possibly your symptoms in full.

Had the same fault towing a 1100kg van to Cornwall. Actually overheated at least half a dozen times, When I got the Hawkeye out I could see that the gearbox oil was overheating. Turns out the main radiator was "partially" blocked, well 70% + was obscured, this stopped the heat exchanger for the gearbox from working, and the car went into limp mode to protect itself. No permanent fault codes were logged. Not towing - no overheat no matter how hard I tried. Does tend to imply the radiator is well over specified for the average UK summer Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner |

A lot of this makes sense now it been in local specialist. Seems these moving vanes on turbo can be troublesome. He says Disco 3 suffer same problem. Cure is take it out once a month and thrash it to make them work |
