iPhone 7 imminent - How much for old phone?

As ever, my contract is up as the new model arrives as opposed to the S model. Now, I currently have a 64GB 6 Plus in white. The recycling scheme offers £247 but examples are on eBay for £300+.

I have an advantage of my phone being replaced recently as the original was replaced due to a fault. I had dropped the original so there was some minor damage whereas this one is like brand new. So do you think £350 ono is reasonable? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

6 plus? That was that big ol' girlie phone you bought wasn't it? Rolling with laughter Seriously, £350 might be a bit too much especially as there's been a 6S plus and as you say, the 7 is due soon. Could always put it on and accept offers.

Any news on the 7? I'm going to change mine in September and if I don't like the look of the 7, I'm going to go back to the 5 sized SE. Hopefuly it won't be a slippery bastard to hold like the 6 has been as I've dropped mine twice resulting in a complete replacement plus had a screen fitted to it on another occasion. Been my most unluckiest phone ever and I got my first phone in 1984. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

The 6 plus was designed for the larger man Shocked Hands that is Laughing

I hope the rumour of the blue colour becomes reality. So long as it is a nice metallic mid or navy blue.

Do you think the new one will actually offer you anything worth paying high contract prices for? Instead of swapping for a new phone and contract, drop down to aim only and spend the savings on car stuff Smile FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

The contract prices didn't go up when I changed from the 5 to the 6 and I just cashed in my old phone to a member on here! Providing there are good deals available, I will go with the new phone and cash in the old one. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Yeah they don't go up, but they can come down massively if you keep your current phone. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

I've always been sim only. Both mine and my wife's phone bills never exceed £15 for the pair. I always buy mine outright, unlocked, from the Apple Store, write them off against my business and pass my old ones on to family or friends. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I was having similar thoughts myself about a new iPhone 7 and the value of my current 6, I checked it out here -
