What a great attitude Peaty has. When they interview so many cocky, arrogant 'winners' he comes along and is a breath of fresh air. More concerned about the impact it might have on others. He is a credit.

Thought Tom Daly (and Daniel Goodfellow) was a good result as well. A lot of Dalys shoulders given his media concerns.

Well done to everyone that takes part is what I say, win or lose. I know a family in our village whose daughter was competing at Rio in the diving. She narrowly missed out on a medal but she has had to disrupt her schooling and give up a lot. And that is also the case for her parents.

However one note of caution. Why was that rather attractive New Zealander in the womens rugby 7's wearing fake eye lashes!!!

Totally agree with you Martyn. I have been flicking around the BBC red button to purposely watch the less advertised sports and came across the shooting. Ended up watching Ling and the final as well. Thought it was great. I have so much respect for these people and the hours they must put in.

Reminds me when I was a lot younger and playing Rugby League. There were so many good players (as good as you see on TV) yet you know the vast majority would never make it simply because a Friday and Saturday night was better spent going out and getting p***ed rather that in bed by 10:30 with a book. The dedication people have to put in to sport earns my respect any day and I don't begrudge them a penny even if they are the top sponsorship earners like Wiggins or Enniss-Hill. Now footballers and their earnings is another story!!!
