21 year old Adam Peaty wins our first gold medal in the olympics. Sets a new world record too but you know what really made me proud to be British? He sang the words to the national anthem at the medal presentation. So rare these days. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Given that you live in Scotlandshire, have you read the verse about the Scots?

And that's why the Scots have an issue with the "United Kingdoms" national anthem |

I may live there but it is not my nationality, they may call themselves SNP but it is debatable whether or not they are left or right of the communists, soon hopefully I will be on my way

Correction, not "we" don't have a national anthem, "You " don't recognise the national anthem. There are a lot of people who just quietly get on with being proud to be British and seeing the Union Flag flying at a sporting event and hearing the first few bars of that anthem make those people proud. Back to OP Also a Bronze for young Edward Ling. The television cannot even start to show the level of skill he has hours of training and practice he must have put in. Not a good event to televise , but one where Team GB regularly have a medal. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership 2016 Subaru Outback SE 2.0 diesel SE Premium Lineartronic Sold 2024 after 8 years and 80k miles . Providing that was the only false bit to enable her to qualify for women's rugby who cares, unfortunately GB lost the way up to the first yellow they were holding their own, could Peaty become another Phelps but in the breaststroke 21 is young in men's swimming for world records. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Totally agree with you Martyn. I have been flicking around the BBC red button to purposely watch the less advertised sports and came across the shooting. Ended up watching Ling and the final as well. Thought it was great. I have so much respect for these people and the hours they must put in.
