Blue Eco chip

Hi. I've had my FL2 for 2 months now and wanted to try and increase the mpg.

I have bought one of those Eco chip plug ins to try and get a few more miles out of the old girl.

I haven't fitted it yet, it's one that you just put into the diagnostic port and leave it there.

Anyone have one / used one yet.

Thanks

Volvo could not understand why they could not design an engine to match VW's fuel economy. They put their best experts on the problem to come up with solutions to improve economy. All options were on the table including new engines, with vast resources at hand. The end result was they believed there were rubbery fuel figures.

Looking after the car & driving it smoothly will reduce fuel consumption. Walking to the shops for a carton of milk will save even more! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

A true reading includes all terrain. If I excluded all the hills, stop signs, lights, traffic jams, my average speed of 33 km/h would greatly improve and fuel consumption as well. Worst 20 km/h 20.0 L/100. Best 55 km/h 10.5 L/100 and this was still 50% city driving for this tank of fuel. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
