United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver

Nice car, I like the interior , I had the same colour leather. in a 3 series Touring and it made the vehicle a very pleasant light place to be ( just don't wear a pair of new jeans in it without washing them first .. Speaks from experience in new BMW Big Cry .) I think the Evoques have a very good road presence and a purposeful stance. Parting with 25 grand of your own cash is a big decision and I think with the Evoque you have made a wise buy and have a car that will offer quite a low cost of ownership if you keep it a while. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

With all those problems on your cars do you think that you need to take a serious look at your driving style? Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

I have answered this question elsewhere but basically I had company and private cars for the last 40+ years with few issues and none have given me problems that FL2s have. Hence I don't think that the driving style comment is relevant.
The first 08 FL2 was OK, bought at 60k and did 40k miles with no problems and we traded it in for a 10 reg 30k miles from a used car dealer with 3 months warranty which had a throttle body failure within weeks followed by a gearbox rattle and a string of other problems when out of warranty. I decided to trade it in for an "approved used"11 reg FL2 and my son bought a 60 reg one at the same time from the same dealer. They have both had a string of faults. We still have the 11 reg which has now done 74k and has been OK since earlier this year when an exhaust gas temp sensor failed for the second time.
I have an extended warranty until next April and I really like the car but I am not sure that I will replace it with another LR product. LR is all about the 4 wheel drive system but this seems to be the weakest part of the design. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
