The D4 looks more and more an option, the mpg is now better, 2014 on , you could possibly get the same mpg as the Freely the tax is only about £50 above an SD my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

The D4 is very, very good and would be my choice if I had the money to run one. Effortless to drive and make long journeys a pleasure. My uncle sells farm machinery and they use D4's as a towing vehicle to deliver smaller machinery to dealers around the country. His only advice to me was he wouldn't have one without a warranty. His do get worked hard though.

D4 all the way, it's cheaper than ever to run, even more so now fuel is on its way down. Averaging about 27mpg I do a lot of town and country driving and don't average a lot of miles per year so the 2.2 in the DS and Fl2 wasn't really any more economical plus the 3.0 SDV6 puts a smile on my face, it's left many a boy racer at the lights. Also I got the service pack so that's 5 years servicing for £699, which includes AdBlue top up, which should last 16000 miles so say LR, and road tax is something like £265.

Go on, you've already bought it in your head. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

or maybe an X3....... Whistle

£25K would get you a decent spec 13 plate m-sport and whilst it doesnt have the offroad capabilities of the FL2 it has bags more room, better quality, better engine, more oomph and mpg. At the very least have a closer look at one you may be surprised. I wouldn't go back to a FL2 ever again - love the exterior styling but the interior is simply low rent in comparison Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

The X3 is more akin to the Ewok small load area height behind the rear seats, limiting the utility use, but if you want a highish AWD sports car then OK, I don't, to me the Ewok convertible is more use providing the sun shines. Laughing my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Thanks for the replies. I never got any notifications of replies hence why I went quiet

Since Feb there are more Evoques available for £25K now

I have test driven a couple, both Pure Tech and found them enjoyable to drive.

http://www.usedvehicles.landrover.co.uk/search#/details/2697091 - I know this is not a prestige before you say anything

http://www.usedvehicles.landrover.co.uk/search#/details/2684283

I realise that there are people on here that suggest an Evoque is a woman's car. All I can say is I must be a woman as I like the look of it and I also own a MX5 Razz

D4S our out my price range and D4 are just too big for what I need. No children or dogs Smile

I have also driven a Q5 and X3 and although I am a big BMW fan stiff preferred the Evoque

So that leaves an Evoque or newer FL2. I did have a test drive of a Metrolpolis but hated the auto box compared to the manual on my current FL2

Of course if I had a spare 60-70K it would be the new RR Sport Smile
