Hi "Fred the shed"!
I've asked for your question to be put on a dedicated topic as this thread is for "Meridian" based ICE and I think you'll get far more help if it's on it's own dedicated thread.
I don't have the Alpine system but you changed exactly what? Sometimes it's not just a case of just swapping modules/components, you have to have the vehicle programmed to recognise the new component. I suggest you give a lot more detail of what the problem is and what you have done so we can assist. MY15

Hi and thank you for your help ( I am a newbie to this forum !) the original fault was a MOST failure on the radio front panel where you insert the CD through to the separate 6cd player behind. The original fault of land rover being flashed up on the sat nav screen every second has now gone and is appears that it is now possibly a programming issue. The car is fitted with the hi line audio system . Once again thanks for your help.

Ok, it's called the Intergrated Control Panel and it's possible the whole MOST system needs to be reset to accept the new module.
What I suggest you do first is to go to the RJB (rear fuse box) and find what looks like a small metal clip in 2 positions of what looks like a relay position. Pull out this metal clip for about 5 minutes and then replace. This will force a "Ring Brake Diagnostic" of the MOST network. This will possibly solve your problem. MY15

I may be completely mis-remembering this, but I seem to recall a thread describing the initialisation of the sat nav system in which the sat nav software took a significant amount of time to load from the DVD. (SWDL - software download possibly??) I think it was around 20-30 mins or more, driving the car so that the electrics didn't shut down. But, as I say, I might not be remembering correctly.

Did you replace "like for like" ie might look the same but same
Part no? There can be numerous different part numbers for the similar looking part. MY15
