Russia 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Tambora Flame

Tim, thanks. In January-April, 2007 growth of sales LR in Russia of 88 %! By the end of year will be even more. Therefore from you a lot of patience is necessary.

You can buy an F2 "off the shelf" at a dealers if you don't want any special extras from the factory - all the dealers in Central Scotland have at least 2 ex demo cars (often more) and launch cars for sale - my local dealer has 6 F2's from a GS right through to a launch i6 HSE in Stornoway for sale for immediate delivery. If you want a factory order car then you will wait and wait! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

Hi again,
The main reason I'm waiting till September is financial.
Cash purchase which I think I got a good deal - 1500 pounds off list price.
The leather seats aren't factory fitted - dealership offered to get them fitted
locally for 700 pounds less.
Same with the windows too - apparently when tinted at factory they only do one
colour which is really dark so opted for a lighter tint with a company the dealership
use regularly.
It the first time I've ever had a Freelander or 4x4 and I knew I was buying it 30 seconds
after I began driving - it was just fab!!

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tambora Flame

Hi,

Just wanted to say hello as a new member of these forums (although I was around a bit on the D3 forums in the early days if anyone remembers me from there).

Just picked up my Tambora Flame TD4 XS on Saturday from Shukers in Shrewsbury (great experience, but I’ll cover that in another post), and I’ll be having a good play with it over the next couple of weeks and no doubt posting a lot on here in the future.

So see you all later!

Neil

Hi all, great forum by the way! Bow down

My name is Tony, I am looking to purchase a Freelander 2 for my wife and thought it would be useful to understand just how good this vehicle is compared to the old Freelander.

The Wifes Mercedes A Class is dissapointing to say the least so need something different and this looks the best option. This will also be the family car at weekends so it won't just be used for the school run! Due to the large number of speed bumps around where I live the need for something a bit more robust than the Merc is required.

I have plenty to read on the forum so will get started! Thumbs Up

Regards,

Tony. His - BMW 116i SE - love it! BMW 118i SE on order!

Hers - Merc A150 Avantgarde - hate it!, want to change this for a NEW FREELANDER ASAP! providing my local LR dealer can actually be bothered to get back to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May look elsewhere..............!

Hi boiledgnat,

I have driven the Si6 and the DW12 diesel manual and auto so I am already 'familiar' shall we say and was not dissapointed. The improvement over the old model is so vast Very Happy

I would like to purchase the diesel but not sure on auto or manual yet! Question

New baby brother for the D3

My dads just collected a F2 S to replace his Disco 300. Looks a bit girly next to my D3 but is nevetheless a pretty thing. General impression is that it's well put together but not as robust as the D3. Look forward to you lot being able to help us out!

You might want to check something here - if you have tinted glass factory fitted then I think it is usually glass that is actually manufacturered with a tint "in it". However, if you get this done afterwards, the dealer or tinter applies a tinted film over the existing window, which can get scratched.

Personally, I'd always going for the tinted glass option rather than tinted film. I've not been inside a FL2 with factory-tinted glass, but my wife's Mini Cooper S tints look almost black from the outside, but inside it's nowhere near as dark as you'd expect.
