So the lux and the Metropolis are very much the same?

HSE Lux and Metropolis are identical in every way. (Apart from the badge and black bits on the headlights).

I think Metropolis comes with tinted rear windows only, HSE Lux had them as an option so if you hate rear tints (as I do) then its the HSE Lux (if you can find one) or HSE if your not bothered about rear camera, and one or two other nice to haves. Thumbs Up

Tinted privacy glass was optional on Metropolis, just like all other land rovers.

The reason we call it Metropolis is because LR reduced the price to £35995 for the SD4 compared to around £39k for the HSE Lux.

Metropolis was used in Russia too, but the rest of the world got the full HSE Luxury badge. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

To answer the original question, HSE and Metropolis got the following over HSE

19" Alloy Wheels
Windsor Leather
Heated Steering Wheel
Reverse Camera
TPMS on Metropolis as this became law to have it for 2015

Part number for carpets on HSE Lux and Metropolis is the same.

Have I missed anything? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

When the Freelander got the 2013MY facelift, the infotainment system was upgraded to the same system as all Jaguar and Land Rovers and stayed this way until the end of production.

The next generation of infotainment was added to Disco Sport, RRS, RR, New XE and XF and so on. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

In Victoria, Australia it would be called a Toorak Tractor!

"Toorak Tractor" is the name given to any of the glitzed up chrome-ridden "soccer mom/mum" SUVs often seen driving around Toorak; one of the more well to do suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. From BMW X5s and Land Rovers to Volkswagen Touraegs and Porsche Cayennes, some of them have the raw ability to navigate mountain passes and some of them don't. The point is that for anyone who lives in Toorak, venturing out into the countryside in their glorified tractor is the furthest thing from their minds.

I am going a bit off topoic here as I do Off Topic

Sister in law now lives in a glitzy area of Melbourne most of the time now and on a visit we were taken by her and 2 of her 3 public schooled daughters for brunch, a first for me being from Gods Own County as I have breakfast and lunch. Anyways, yes agreed lots of Toorak Trackor's just cruising as we sat out.

Looked at menu and it was full of flash concocted food, to the horror of the wife's nieces I said to the waiter its not on here but I would like a Bacon Buttie and lashings of HP Sauce. Well my nieces wanted to crawl under the table. Waiter could not be more helpful and glad to have found a person not a "look at me", got exactly what I wanted and was treated well by the staff. Moral being as long as you have the brass to pay for it, eat what you like not what other folk decide you have to eat. Thumbs Up

Nice Jag XK 120 went by that was no Toorak Trackor though. Bow down FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
