HSE Lux and Metropolis are identical in every way. (Apart from the badge and black bits on the headlights).
Tinted privacy glass was optional on Metropolis, just like all other land rovers. The reason we call it Metropolis is because LR reduced the price to £35995 for the SD4 compared to around £39k for the HSE Lux. Metropolis was used in Russia too, but the rest of the world got the full HSE Luxury badge. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. When the Freelander got the 2013MY facelift, the infotainment system was upgraded to the same system as all Jaguar and Land Rovers and stayed this way until the end of production.

In Victoria, Australia it would be called a Toorak Tractor! "Toorak Tractor" is the name given to any of the glitzed up chrome-ridden "soccer mom/mum" SUVs often seen driving around Toorak; one of the more well to do suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. From BMW X5s and Land Rovers to Volkswagen Touraegs and Porsche Cayennes, some of them have the raw ability to navigate mountain passes and some of them don't. The point is that for anyone who lives in Toorak, venturing out into the countryside in their glorified tractor is the furthest thing from their minds.
