Lurking under the back seat?

Can anyone tell me what the large black rubber sink plug type thing is under the offside single rear passenger seat?

Past experience has taught me not to pull things like this out "just to have a look" as they never go back and seal properly Rolling Eyes

My guess would be the fuel sender unit but I'm sure someone on here will know the answer. ______________________
