Bluefin tuning, doés the clutch keep up to the tourqe 190 bhp and 484 nm, I have a Range Rover L322 TD6 at the moment, and Iám tired of spending more money on my gear box, have had 2 broken shafts the last 6 months and spending 6000 in repair.
So now Iám looking for a Freelander 2 diesel with manuel gearbox, now more aut for me.
We often travel around with the caravan so a little extra power is nice.

We have an Alive map on our Freelander 2, running similar figures, with no issues at all

Wouldnt it be better to look at a vehicle that has the power you require in standard form then youve no worries about if it will cope or not and breakages?

Problem is the DMF and to small clutches on nerley every car, only BMW with 3,0 diesel has a strong clutch, and that car is to expensive for me, and I have been driving Land Rover since the 1995 so I dont want to change.
Perhaps some one will make solid flywheels for the Freelander to.

Solid flywheels come with their own issues, and broken cranks, and snapped gearbox input shafts are not unheard of

It was designed with a DMF for a reason, and for that reason, you should retain the DMF

As said, ours has been fine for the last year, with no issues at all, despite a lot of people on this very forum saying the clutch/flywheel/universe would implode

EDIT: If you are looking at buying a Freelander 2, Would it not make more sense to consider the newer auto models, which come with 190bhp or so from the factory, negating the need for a remap?

I would echo that. I still enjoy the face of Audi/BMW drivers who think that an FL2 Metropolis is just a tractor with a fancy body kit!

We'll then I don't have to worry, have found a Freelander 2008 with only 140000 km on the clock, the 190 bhp is to expensive for me

Doesn't the ECU on a Freelander reduce the maximum engine torque available as it's above the rated spec of the manual gearbox? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
