Hi. Just picked up a 2010 LR2 HSE for the wife. Only 97000 km. Looking forward to hanging out here and learning about the little suv. Glad to have found this forum, looks like the best for the LR2. Looked around at others that were part of larger land rover forums, and didn't seem to be much activity. Glad to see that these are actually capable of a little off road too. I had a 2nd gen Nissan xterra, lifted, 33's, and I kinda miss it. I don't expect to subject the LR to the same kind of abuse, but easy trails and remote camp sites might be nice.

Hi from Newcastle under Lyme in the Midlands
Petrolhead whose previous eclectic car history includes Alpina B10, Boxster, Prodrive Forester, Triumph Mayflower, Gilbern and a significant Ginetta G15 to name just a few - current crop includes a couple of 60's Mini Coopers and a shared TR7 with a Range Rover V8 installed.
I'd wanted a Land Rover for a long time but the older Discos and Range Rovers I looked at were pretty c**p and I thought a Freelander 2 would fit the bill nicely and hopefully be a lot more reliable.
Finally got hold of a really nice 2009 XS model last year which is in the process of being replaced by a 2011 HSE we have just inherited.
The XS is a cracker so if you are interested just drop me a line and if there are any meets in the N Staffs area I'd love to attend to learn a bit more about these motors

Hello from sunny Norfolk. Picking up my first FL2 on Sunday, a 2007MY SE with 125k on the clock and FLRSH. Previously had a Discovery 2 and already noticed a few other ex-D2BC forum members here. If this forum is as active, then I look forward to picking your brains over the coming months.

hi there just picked up a 2011 xs with only 23000 on the clock one owner who has to give up driving due to bad health
liveon an estate on the west coast of scotland so it will get used as it was meant to

Hi Freel2 members,
Just joined, though been picking up tips after buying a 2007MY HSE in Stornoway Grey (68k).
So far done the extra earth strap fix - after HDC warnings starting on cold mornings and installed new air filter and wiper blades. Now trawling for info on offside rear wheel skipping on full lock on right turns - Haldex? and my PAS fluid is dirty so the reservoir fix beckons.
Before buying the FL2 I made the mistake and/or did the right thing by visiting this forum. It confirmed the car has its foibles and the combined wisdom of crowds can really work to help others! Looking forward to contributing where I can.

Anyone got a spare light eucalyptus dash strip? Oh and my glove box won't close. And the seat bolster is cracking. And I haven't seen more than 31.2mpg on the display aargh!!!
