Germansell Roof Rails

Hi
I am looking at fitting the black version of these Roof Rails

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311481376364?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT

Has anyone else fitted them?

Personally I think they look wrong on the Freelander. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I haven't fitted these, but am very tempted.

Wonder if they are really man enough to carry a full old of toys (bikes or kayaks)?

I think they look heaps better than the LR Zimmer frame

I like the look of them too and judging by the lack of replies they will be pretty unique!

Germansell roof rails

Fitted a set of these a couple of weeks ago. Very easy to fit and all holes lined up perfectly and solid when fixed. Advert implies that they are german but box said made in Turkey. I bought them as I preferred the lower profile to the LR ones

These looks really good but how can you tell they will fit with a glass roof? All the pictures I can see are of solid roof vehicles. What is the difference with the glass roof? All in know is that the LR versions of the roof rails are different?
Thanks

Click on the German link and you will see "fitting panorama sunroof" mentioned. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

When I opened the box and sat them on the roof there was a bit of a gap between the roof and the centre fixing point but as you bolt them down they fit perfectly. Fixing is easy, on the black roof trim, approx. 200mm from the top of the windscreen, there is a little cross which you drill an 8mm hole through, under this is a large nut which has a plastic coating over it. If you push a small screwdriver through the 8mm hole into the top of the nut it reveals an internal thread in the top of the nut. The rear two fixings, simply remove the black plastic fixing that holds the "gutter" trim on. They are supplied with all fixings, rubber gaskets and some sealant for the threads, you just need an allen key, finish is very good and for me, I prefer the look.

They do look good and are a bit different, so I like Thumbs Up

Couple of Qs
Do they have the brace bar (like the factory ones )?
Will the LR crossbars fit? FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

They do not have the brace as the LR ones and I am afraid that I cannot tell you if the crossbars fit as I do not have any. I use them with a set of Thule Aero bars as I need them.

Still toying with the idea of getting some of these, so thought I'd resurrect the thread and ask those that fitted them how they are going?
