Then mysteriously once you have taken delivery of your car they disappear as if setting sail on the high seas for treasure (another dealership) |

Now I think about it my turbo did make a rattling noise during low revs a couple of weeks ago. I'll mention this to the dealer as well. 2007 TD4 SE |

You'd be unlucky for the source to be the turbo, although ts common enough on chavy racer boy cars with oil filled foam air filters fitted as they dry out and dirt and grit then goes straight through to wreck the impellers.

Aren't you tempted to drive past the garage and have a look inside to see what stage of dismantleness your motor is in? |

Very, but they like to hide their workshop out the back. and you can't see into it, unless they take you out back. You can't even drive past the doors.

I took the car into the dealers and they said that oil in the output pipe from the turbo is normal and that the join between the pipe and the intercooler hadn't been made properly so the oil was able to leak out from there.
