If you leave your pride and joy unattended for more than 27 days, the electronics shut down. The only way to re-activate is to use the emergency key. This was confirmed this morning by LR, via my dealer.
Make sure you don't park with the near-side inaccessible!!

Is this the case even when you double press the 'key'. I thought that was supposed too put Freeda into sleep mode thus negating the issue of quiescient drain. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

27 days seems a bit restrictive, I haven't seen that in the handbook.
