I would say wrong, there is no good reason to use neutral.

No no no. Never drive down a slope in an auto in neutral.

I heard it is the other way... that the impact from behind is felt worse when you are on the brakes. I wonder which one is true. For long traffic light I use neutral. |

I always pop it in neutral and put on the handbrake at any situaion when I would have put my old manual car in neutral. As you say at lights or in long queues. Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass |

Nick, I have made the very same observation. After checking the motor oil level I have noticed a considerable overfill (0,3 litre) which may have come from unburned diesel mixed with the motor oil due to a lot of short distance ride. After a long distance ride for more than 400 km the motor oil level came down to normal - and the vibration was gone too.

Hi Nick, no, I do not think so as Landrover recommends to put the Automatic Gear Stick into neutral when stopping at a red light. The vibration is gone when put in neutral - this may be the reason.

I always leave mine in "D" when at a stand still and there is no vibration whatsoever. I'd be straight back to the dealer............. and don't let them bulls**t you. |
