Bf Goodrich AT latest version and love them,made it off the pits/camping field at welsh 4x4 extreme when the only vehicles that could move on there was the triallers with simex etc mud tyres

Cooper discoverer 235/70/17 AT3, look great very good in mud ( only had them on 3 days ) car has a nice stance now and a little more clearance

Friday I had the new Hankook Kinergy 4S All Season Tyres fitted to my Standard 17" Rims these tyres seam to be the best I have ever had very quiet on the road and great grip off road.
I can't be bothered changing from winter to summer tyres anymore. Might be me just being awkward as I get older I have even started to restrict my wifes spending!.

Ok I admit to not bothering to change over to winter tyres this year - it has been mild, stayed on the Goodyear rubber she came with, then again the winters are Goodyear, and the muds are Goodyear MTRs.

SWMBO has agreed that next year we can take the van to Croatia - I believe you can still get MTRTs in Croatia  Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Thanks for reply. I will be fitting the 245/70s when my 235/65s are worn out. I will be selling my summer tyres and wheels and staying with the GGS all year.

Back on to topic I'm looking to change the 235 50 R18 Continentals on my recently acquired Kuga and was looking of a budget at around £100-120 per tyre fitted. Am going to go with an All Season tyre (no off roading) and was looking at the Pirelli Verde All Season. Anybody recommend this or another all season tyre at this price. I did really want the Goodyear or Nokian that came top of the Autoexpress test but it looks like they don't do these in 235 50 R18

I have just had 4 Pirelli Verde All Season fitted on my 19" wheels, soooo much quieter than tha Continentals it had, however, they also feel softer and a little wallowy, not as re assuring in fast corners but they may need a few miles on them yet, probably only around 100miles at present so too early to call.
Pleased I went for them and I would certainly recommend them unless you area boy racer

Had a set of Scorpion Verde All Season on for 18 months and around 12000 miles (size 235/60 1 and they're wearing well, are SO much quieter than other tyres I've had and I've no issues with grip or traction in dry, wet or on wet grass - nothing too challenging attempted!

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will probably replace them with the same when needed. 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

Cheers for the advice - Pirelli Verde All Seasons it is for me

So I scoured the usual suspects on t'internet and surprise surprise Kwik Fit proving the cheapest - £116 per tyre. Being in the NHS we get 20% discount so I rang my nearest kwik-Fit. Nice chap, asked me straight away what the online price was and that despite a current 25% off offer on Pirellis he knew he couldn't beat it. Came back with a quote of £180 odd per tyre then told me to order them online and book it with them!

Have Pirelli Scorpio Zero's on mine - cant wait for them to wear down, sooo noisy on most road surfaces at any speeds above 40ish.  MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

I've got 17 inch factory fitted freelander alloys currently, can I fit 245/70/ R17 without any clearance issues as the factory standard size is 235/65 r17 .

Was hoping to fit some BFG or Cooper ST'S in this size.
