I wondered what happens if theres not enough space available for it to open, i doubt it has distance sensors to stop it, or does it?? |

Maybe only current sensing. If it encounters an obstacle, the motors draws a current greater than normal and the logic stops the motors. Just like the side electric windows. |

For those who want a powered tailgate in their Freelander 2 here are the 3 fields you'll need to enable for MY13 onwards.

You would have to change the tailgate hydraulic struts also MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
