Problem with upgrading; Windows does not update all the device drivers if the one it's trying to replace is newer, try removing the wifi driver in device manager and re-boot the system and let windows decide. If you have an Intel WiFi card remove the Intel configeration software first it's not needed.

When I upgraded my HP DV9000, I had issues with the WiFi card, I did a clean install and everything works fine, it does take a short while after boot to connect, this was on an old vista machine, I installed a SSD drive it now flies.

You can always download the driver from HP for your old operating system, do not use HP or Intel auto detect.

If all else fails, by a MAC Bow down

Replace the bios and look at how the hard drive is handled within the bios, it says hard disc 2, are two disks competing on boot or do they both have Windows files on the,? That would wreak havoc.

Strange thing is I only have one hard drive installed which is a clone of the original.
Bios soft ware is also up to Date. Thumbs Up

In the bios setup, can you disable hard disk2?
Seems to be a common issue when looking online ...

How did you clone it? Does the original disc still work OK? I have just cloned a drive onto an SSD using Macrium Reflect (freeby) and it worked fine but I had to mess about with partitions using Easus Partition Master Free to get it going properly.
I would be thinking about reformatting your new drive and re-cloning. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Decided to upgrade to Windows 10 over the weekend and everything went perfectly, started back up and all my files still there, the printer still works, the wifi works - hurray!!

HOWEVER the next day when I went on, when i left click on the start menu it comes up in a different language, right clicking it comes up in English, if i hover over the quick tabs on the bottom bar (or whatever you call them) I again get this foreign language? I have checked the language settings and everything appears to be set for English - anyone have any ideas??? Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

Mrs G's laptop seemed to decide to download 10 on its own. All is well with it, it even auto connects to wifi , something it would never do on 8 no matter how many times I told it to, also it now skips the login password after sleeping which again windows 8 insisted on despite been told 100 times.

Its about time you enjoyed an upgrade Shilen after having to be cruelly downgraded to an X3 Whistle At work

Laughing Couldn't disagree more Whistle

Just had second service which has cost me £0.00 (paid £400 for 5 years servicing!), covered 32000 miles and had the following issues:-

1 - nowt!

Absolutely love it, servicing dealer faultless, they call you a couple of days before to remind you to turn up, gave me a virtually new loaner (had less than 100 miles on it), rang me to say X3 was ready to collect, valeted even better than the day it left the showroom and then got a call a couple of days later to make sure everything is okay - something LR never did for me, except dent the bonnet once.....

The only thing the X3 doesn't have is a forum like this hence why I keep coming back even though I aint had a LR for 2 years! Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

Had a couple of Windows 10 problems this week on two different computers. I have upgraded quite a few to Win 10 now with few problems although the guy next door had his take nearly 3 days to complete. However, last night one of my computers suddenly lost it's connection to the router and on inspection in Device Manager I found that the wifi adapter had lost it's drivers. I connect via a network cable and checked for updates and a big update came through Update for Windows 10 (Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3140741)) and low and behold the wifi adapter started working again. I have also had a couple of instances where the sound drivers on a PC have been zapped and had to be reinstalled. It looks as if some updates are zapping drivers for some reason. Has anyone else seen anything like this? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

My windows 10 HP envy 700-060ea pc seams to lose the drivers on occasion to which I traced the cause to the windows driver updater program which updates to a corrupt driver. I have downloaded Driver booster 3 which updates all the outdated drivers this also overrides Microsoft Corrupt downloads.
Very Happy I also fixed my Hard drive F2 error found a windows 8.1 download that flashed the bios with a better update image.
