New to Freel2 - seeking advice

Hello all,
I am new to this forum, seeking advice on buying a used Freelander2.
I have found a manual 2007 hse diesel with 127000 km on the clock. The price is good and it s got full history at the local dealer in nicosia. No major repairs done except for the usual service stuff. Last service -jul 2015- changed turbo hose, radiator fan and clutch disc.
Interior is immaculate but outside needs work.

Now, being an owner of a discovery 300tdi for the past 15 years, i have seen al sorts of issues with landies - mostly electrical/electronic faults. Plus the ever-present oil leak...

I just wanted to ask, what kind of problems should I expect with this model at this kind of mileage?
Is there a rough list of things I should check before committing to the buy?

Thanks in advance,
Angelos

In short they're pretty bullit proof.
Saying this manual versions seem to chew through DMF's. So just check that there's no slippage of the clutch.
General electrical faults is usually earth wire from battery, again nothing serious but can cause phantom electrical errors/warnings easily fixed by attaching extra earth strap.
Otherwise just check that it drives well without any noises either wheel bearing or pinion bearing which was a problem on earlier builds. Rear tyres sometimes can cause this noise aswell so not necessarily either wheel bearing or pinion bearing.
Lots of Freelander 2's on here covered far more mileage than what you have indicated and going strong Thumbs Up MY15

Have a good look around under the car. Bottom of fuel tanks etc.

Have a look at the spare (hopefully) alloy wheel, & also if there is or has been any water in the spare wheel well. & make sure the jack is there! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

You must use different ammunition to me. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE

2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Having owned a manual for 3 years and then an auto for 3 years - I would only ever consider an auto again.
Aside from premature clutch/dmf issues - it was just nowhere near as nice to drive, although I did get a few mpg more out of the manual. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc
(Going) 2013 TD4 GS Auto - Santorini Black with black leather. Cold Climate, UK Lighting & Armrest Packs. Privacy Glass. LR Rubber Mats. Full size spare.
60 000 miles averaging 35mpg

(Gone) 2010 TD4 Manual GS - Stornoway Grey. Sold at 3yrs old & 64k miles. Final average consumption 39.2mpg.
