England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Barolo Black
(SOLVED) Car won't start

Can anyone help. I have a 2009 FL2 diesel manual. Got in this morning (-2°c) and nothing. It was turning over but not starting. I added some diesel in case this was the problem and still nothing. I then tried jump starting it with cables but still nothing. The electrics all seem to working fine so I don't think it's the battery. I've also tried holding the stop/start for 3 seconds without depressing the clutch to activate the 'true ignition' then depressing the clutch and trying again but still not starting. I'm no mechanic and I've exhausted all my knowledge on the topic.

Any help!?

If you were out of diesel the system will need priming, not sure of the procedure, should be in the manual.

May take more than just turning it over a few times.

I've had another go and it's not even turning over now. Just a single 'click' sound.

Tried manually priming it after putting in the diesel. Still not working but it's now showing 'HDC fault system not working' and 'transmission fault'
