No Bob, include Northern Ireland and it becomes the United Kingdom, not Great Britain |

Now you're talking, there would be no need for the vast amount of immigrant workers if the home grown work shy would get off their ass, immigrant workers are important to the rural survival. |

Ah Ha! I get it, EY! However, the referendum covers the whole of the United Kingdom & Northern Ireland. So why refer to GB only? We are all "In" or "Out" together, correct? Bob 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone) 08 FL2 TD4 SE Manual in Rimini Red (Now Gone) |

Just pulled this off the BBC website. Seems that Irish people living in the UK will get a vote.

Good bit in the FT today. Remember the furore about EU regulations on the power of vacuum cleaners? Well there is/was a proposal to limit the power of electric kettles and toasters for environmental reasons (still takes the same energy to heat the water but ignore that bit) . This proposal has been quietly shelved as it could could affect the outcome of the referendum. I can see the headlines in the Daily Mirror/Sun now - "EU dictates cold tea and toast for breakfast" 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I think we should stay in. It is making interesting reading seeing all the different views, some of you are far more informed than I. The reason for staying is quite simple and hopefully not too naive, I think as a concept the EU is a good thing. I think that most would agree it's not ideal, some of it is good and some of it is downright ridiculous. I think that we have more chance of improving, changing and making a difference by staying in. I think we need to find a way to remove some of the craziness and to change things to how we need and want them to be. |
