England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver

I just got in touch with a 4x4 dealer who is selling a Nissan X-Trail - 3 years old 50k miles Tekna.

Reply back I got - we are not interested in p/x'ing against such a high mileage Freelander. 91k too high mileage eh!!!!

That's a bit of a surprise, in the past I traded in an 08 FL2 with 99.5k on the clock against a 3 yr FL2 at a LR dealer and they didn't have a problem, they just shipped it off to a local 4x4 specialist who seemed to take all of the cars that they didn't want on their forecourt.
Don't Nissan want the business or is it that the trade in value of a 91k Freelander is more than the price of a 3 yr old X trail? Laughing 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

thats all folks.

end of the worst 18 months of being a freelander owner and have now switched to the new Tiguan, staff very nice at VW unlike the rude staff at Cambrian landrover or the 'don't want to know' at Likes landrover.
well, just to say thanks for the help given on here after all the faults I had on a brand new freelander and the disgraceful aftersales from the two above mentioned 'dealers' Laughing

Stay Safe. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

with 91k it would be difficult to shift on the forecourt with a warranty.

so they would probably punt it to the car market and wouldn't make anything on it, so understandable.

I switched to a Jag XF, and I feel like my a$$ is an inch above the road.

Other than that I love it. I loved too though the FL2 and had 3 over around 10 years, but just wasn't taken with the disco sport when it came time to change. I had one for a weekend and in the end decided if I was going to get a car rather than a 4x4, why not just get a better car.

Maybe the ideal compromise is coming with the new Jag SUVs? Current F Pace is maybe too expensive, but the next one coming (I've seen it referred to as E-Pace in magazines) could be great?

Other than that I guess it's a wait to see if there's something off the new Defender platform that could be the spiritual successor to FL2?

I didn't think the new Tiguan was available until the late Spring/early Summer. Be interested to be told differently. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Would I consider something other than a Freelander?

Yes I would, and have. I have moved to a BMW X3 30d M Sport and it is outstanding. Too many issues with my FL2's and life is too short.....

We love our Freelander 2 but needed something bigger for weekends and holidays etc. looked at a disco 3 but then bought a Nissan Elgrand Rider , a limo in a van basically. We have the best of both worlds now, and the Freelander has less work to do. Freelander 2, Nissan Elgrand Autech Rider.

My son is getting on well with his Mitsubishi L200 Warrior pickup. I know it's not a direct comparison with the Freelander that he traded in but so far he claims that it's better off road as it has more ground clearance plus low range and a diff lock. He is getting just over 40mpg from the 2.4 litre diesel and it's fine on dual carriegeways and fields but a bit bumpy on country lanes. It's a work vehicle and a lot cheaper than a LR. He continues to get interest from his farming clients who are looking at what to get to replace the Defender. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver

After the price offered at WeBuy and also the dealer not wanting a 91k car I am considering selling privately. Got a service and MOT due this week (will probably need new front brakes as it was an advisory last time). I had new brake brakes and handbrake stuff plus rear bearings done since I had it.

So how much do you think I should advertise a 2009 SE with 91k, FSH, sunroof, half leather, electric/heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, side bars, a few little stone chips (Zermatt Silver), Sat Nav, Upgarde 6CD system.

I am reluctant to advertise it on here as I'd hate to sell it to someone and it develop a load of issues. Happier on ebay!!!

That is unless someone wants to offer me 10k!!!!
