That's a bit of a surprise, in the past I traded in an 08 FL2 with 99.5k on the clock against a 3 yr FL2 at a LR dealer and they didn't have a problem, they just shipped it off to a local 4x4 specialist who seemed to take all of the cars that they didn't want on their forecourt.

end of the worst 18 months of being a freelander owner and have now switched to the new Tiguan, staff very nice at VW unlike the rude staff at Cambrian landrover or the 'don't want to know' at Likes landrover.

with 91k it would be difficult to shift on the forecourt with a warranty. so they would probably punt it to the car market and wouldn't make anything on it, so understandable. Iain |

I didn't think the new Tiguan was available until the late Spring/early Summer. Be interested to be told differently. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold. MY 15 SD4 SE Auto Orkney Grey with colour coded Bumper Door Mouldings |

We love our Freelander 2 but needed something bigger for weekends and holidays etc. looked at a disco 3 but then bought a Nissan Elgrand Rider , a limo in a van basically. We have the best of both worlds now, and the Freelander has less work to do. Freelander 2, Nissan Elgrand Autech Rider. |

My son is getting on well with his Mitsubishi L200 Warrior pickup. I know it's not a direct comparison with the Freelander that he traded in but so far he claims that it's better off road as it has more ground clearance plus low range and a diff lock. He is getting just over 40mpg from the 2.4 litre diesel and it's fine on dual carriegeways and fields but a bit bumpy on country lanes. It's a work vehicle and a lot cheaper than a LR. He continues to get interest from his farming clients who are looking at what to get to replace the Defender. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

After the price offered at WeBuy and also the dealer not wanting a 91k car I am considering selling privately. Got a service and MOT due this week (will probably need new front brakes as it was an advisory last time). I had new brake brakes and handbrake stuff plus rear bearings done since I had it.
