When I did mine (TomTom Start 60) I removed the fascia and used Sikaflex (sp?) to stick it in. Hasn't budged. The other thing I did which you may want to consider is getting a spare fascia panel (was £20 on eBay) so you keep your original pristine for when you sell on.. |

Don't forget to keep a map in the car too. I live in a coastal village and I am forever being stopped by people saying "can you tell me where is the beach? (answer keep heading downhill - beaches are never uphill)

I used double sided tape to fix in place just to make sure it was nice and straight. I then used aluminium straps that had holes in and fixed the straps to the holes where the cubbyhole used to be fixed to. There are no extra holes made or damage to trims, sat nav etc so if I sell the car or want to put it back as before its a simple job with no holes or marks left anywhere. To be honest I was worried about tampering with the trim etc, however now having finished the job it was quite easy and really pleased with the result. It fits nice and tight in the cubbyhole and looks a professional job if I do say so myself and I am quite fussy. I will take some pictures on Sunday and post. Cheers. Steve. |
