Guys,

Looking for a bit of advice here, I'm looking at buying a set of Xenon lights from a member on here to upgrade our FL2.

The lights I'm looking at are from a 2013 car and our i6 is a 2007. Are they a straight swap? If they're anything like the Range Rover the wiring will be different and will require adapting to fit, however I notice when looking at pictures the bumpers are a totally different shape. Will the newer lights fit with the older style bumper/grill?

If they do fit, do they look stupid? Not sure if I'm better buying a set of 2007 Xenon's or starting the process of face lifting the car?

Look forward to seeing peoples opinions.

There is a host of information about lighting upgrades on here but in a nutshell, the wiring is different, the connectors are different and DRL/Signature is not supported without further modifications.

I believe the shape & size of the lamp units are the same throughout the model years but some one will confirm no doubt.

I spent the afternoon reading on my phone today whilst on the train. Looks like it's a lot more hassle then I want for a Xenon upgrade and I don't fancy doing the whole facelift unfortunately.

Will keep searching.
