United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver
Roof rails / bars

Just been quoted £635 from a main dealer, to have roof rails and bars fitted to my FL2

Is this right? seems very expensive, I can get the rails for £262

I don't want to fit them myself, can anyone recommend anywhere I could get this done?

Thanks,

if you buy genuine LR roof rails, then speak to your dealer service dept regards fitting them, i did with some side tubes, and saved lots Smile

they shouldn't fit aftermarket parts, so if the ones you saw are, then speak with your local LR Specialist Garage Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks,

i fitted mine myself - really easy

watch the videos from powerfuluk on youtube and you are all set

you need a helper but its a really satisfying job

as for specialist tools you only need some tiger seal, 22mm wrench ( from memory) and a 10mm drill and some allen keys ( torque wrench and a snake tool for removing the pine cones could be handy)

do it yourself then you know its done right
