SD4 Auto gear change - clunky noise mostly on the down shif?

Hi all,
Yesterday i noticed that the up change but more on the down change that the auto gearbox was very clunky. Usually the gear change is quite un-noticeable but yesterday the gear changes were horrendous. When slowing down and braking the 'clunk' was quite worrying.
Yet today its back to normal .......
Any ideas ? Any of you had this that then turned into an expensive repair bill ???

What mileage has the 'box done? I'm sure I've read that others had cured this by giving the 'box an oil change. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

Ask your dealer to reset the box, then it will 'auto learn' your own driving style over a period of a few weeks.

There is a software update for the gearbox. It is mainly aimed at jerkiness when moving the gear lever when stationary but it may help?

They normally reset the box after the update as well.
