Install Resistive cable wire - Freelander 2 05.10.10 0.1 46 LR058361

Action: Should a halogen headlamp bulb be replaced for vehicles in the above ranges, follow the Service Instruction below.
This bulletin only applies to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) bulbs that have failed within 12 months of fitting. These should be changed and the resistive wire fitted also. This is in-line with current warranty conditions.

Never was a brilliant electrician but it seems an odd way to reduce the power by such a crude method just to stop a bulb blowing in Warranty! Whistle

So a resistive cable drops the voltage and prevents lamps blowing? no wonder the headlights are bad Rolling with laughter
