I've a similar history to you except for a 'my fault' smash about 4 years ago (not entirely sure it was all my fault as I was slowly edging out into a main road with my view obscured because of cars parked where they shouldn't have been when suddenly someone took my front end off!!! But hey I took responsibility).

Shop around and you will get a lower quote. I bet if you then go back to Aliance they will match it. |

The premium on my 30 yr old son's Porsche 911 dropped a lot when he added his OAP Mum on as a named driver and she is scared to drive it! Worked for his Freelander too.

Seems like things are changing. Maybe they are now getting customers to shop around to save them time/money in knowledge that they will get enough customers anyway on the books to keep the profits rolling in? |

I had a renewal through 2 years ago, when I was 20. I was paying £600. The renewal came through at £1100. Went online on a comparison site and got a quote from the same company for £550! Logic, what logic? |

It is always worth going to your current insurance providers website and checking out cover as a new customer. This is often less than you get as 'valued' existing customer. Then ring them up and say I've got a quote can you beat it..they usually do if they don't renew as a new customer
