Register on Land Rover ToPix, it's free, you can then input your VIN number and it should give you a full build spec for your car, it may also give a model designation.

Thanks taztastic.Registered on TOPIX, great info but doesn't help with trim. It states 'BASE' for mine. I checked a known 'S' trim VIN and it too says 'BASE' I then checked an 'HSE' trim and it said 'HIGH'.

Four wheel drive models without the knob would be the S version here.

All dealer paperwork, log book (V5 equiv) and finance paperwork have nothing other than TD4.

I have just bought an'09 HSE from an independent dealer and phoned the Authorised dealer in Glasgow who were good enough to take the VIN and then look it up on Direct Dealer Warranty (DDW) system. They then scanned and emailed the complete build spec to me. It Lists all the paint and trim clours, "features" and "Trim Details". The latter lists the trim as "DW12 Trim Level 4". It also lists "Premium Pack" e. g. armrests, premium leather, lower bodyside pained cladding, door casings and Ebony carpet. It also lists all the serial numbers of Radio/CD player; Differential, airbags, satnav etc.

TOPIx lists the complete spec for mine. You have to click on the word "more" on the screen. Should work for yours as well? Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Have registered on Topix and the "more" option displays much the same info under "Minor Features" as does the DDW printout. Topix states (for my HSE) that it has "Special Value pack H". it also states that "TD4 HSE". However, on re-reading the DDW printout and contrary to what I said before, it does state "TD4 150PS HSE" .

Ah. It may be that it gives more information for recent models (mine is MY13). I got a whole page of information!

I obviously gave the wrong impression - it gave a full page and a bit listing everything fitted to the vehicle. Very useful. It stated (which the DDW print out didn't ) that the vehicle had "Analogue Audio Broadcasting" I.e .it didn't have DAB even tho it's fitted with the Premium radio/ ICE. |

Thanks Taztastic. I had already found that one and it is quite US specific (3.2ltr petrol seemed to be the only option in HSE or HST trim). Also found the UK one dated 2012 which seems to be the facelift (?)year models featuring S/GS/XS/HSE model range. I cant just find the one covering the '09 vehicles.... |
