Stereo is 2 channels, left and right.

Quadrophonic is 4 channels, front left, front right, rear left, rear right.

I have a Pink Floyd CD that is quadrophonic, years ago I fitted an aftermarket Alpine head unit to one of my cars and it could manage quadrophonic staging, there were a few tracks where you could hear the sound moving in a circle around the car from corner to corner.

One thing I'm having problems with atm is deciding which setting to have it on. Some songs, reproduction sound better on different settings. There's quite a noticeable difference compared to the Hi-Line system. MY15

Adding TV to an existing Premium system in an Evoque shouldn't be too hard. Even easier if it already has DAB. No need to change screen or anything.

Unless you want Dual View? That's a completely different screen.

What extra speakers? Your signature already says you have a Premium Sound retrofit?

we do know that having voice command is the key to some of these mods so this is the IAM2.1 Level 3 module.
The screen doesn't seem to have much bearing on anything other than if it's TFT, or as Cambo has said, twin view screen.
When I put my Premium amp in it actually worked even before we edited CCF for premium sound so I would change the amp in your Evoque and add the other speakers and try with existing Imfotainmemt module as I think the premium audio is an option across the model lineup? If it doesn't work then you will probably need to change to the level 3.
In regard to TV, I think the key here is the DAB option. From the electrical schematics in the Fl2, all different modules for different broadcasts and DVBT is driven from this connection.
It really depends on what you want to do?
If you already have IAM2.1 Level 3 then your more likely to be able to add more things.
Harness differences, well I don't know as I have IAM2.1 Level 3 so I Havnt seen the level 1 module. With someone of your expertise I really don't think you'd have a problem.
As I've discovered, the wiring for the DAB ECU in my Freelander 2 is relatively easy so I don't think you'd have much of a problem there. If I can add the DAB unit into my Freelander 2 then
the Evoque is the same as we do know that the Evoque and Freelander 2 have identical electrical systems, late model FL'2 at least. MY15
