Good forum this.
Let me know how you get on - I'm in the same boat as you, though I have had (and do still) Freelander 1s.

Hello folks.

Hi folks.

After 5 years of D3 ownership and many postings on the disco3 forum, I'm moving back to a Freelander 2.

I'm looking forward to the banter, the tips, and a lot less pain to my wallet with Freelander ownership.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Greetings All,

Just a quick post to say hello, I've recently joined the Freelander fold with a 2010 HSE.

My 4th Landy, having had a Series III, Disco I and a Disco II. Loving the Freelander - I particularly like the way the rain stays on the outside of the vehicle. Very Happy

Great forum.

Paul

Welcome all you newbies.

You should all enjoy your FL2's.

Yes they are drier than earlier LR models Laughing and you'll also save yourselves heaps of money both in running costs and with the help you'll receive from other forum members.

Thumbs Up

Now what mods have you got planned Question
(raise in the appropriate section) FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Izmir Blue

Hello all, I am a novice when it comes to Land Rovers, but really took to my "new" purchase, a 57 plate TD4 SE Auto, with 48k on it. Brilliant driving position and ride, can't wait for a decent long trip in it.
Few teething problems but nowt that you guys haven't spotted, and all with the dealer to sort - this forum has given me all the info to make sure they do so( eg spare remote not charging, and rain sensitive sensors).
Thank you! And I will let you know how they get on!

India 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Narvik Black

Greetings from India!!

Came across the forum on one of my FB groups. Been a proud owner of a Freelaner 2 for 3 yrs now. I may be a rare one to use a Freelander for offroading here in India.

Now since am over the warranty period looking to see if some mods can be done with it, hence here. Also to connect with fellow Landi'ans across the world!!

Cheers

Yogi

Ireland 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Ipanema Sand

Hi,
Greetings from a windy Dublin!

Have a 2013 Freelander for the last 18 months and am very happy with it. Have just come across this Forum and am delighted to become a member.

I've just discovered a problem with my tailgate spoiler. The bolts bolts have scored the paintwork on the body and have caused a spot of rust to start at each of the contact points. On closer inspection the brackets on both sides have rusted quite significantly. The plastic coating on each of them has completely lifted off. They are complete write-offs and are obviously not built to last. This is fairly disappointing on a comparatively recent vehicle. I'm now faced with replacing both of them.

Any ideas where I can lay my hands on just the brackets and bolts for a rear tailgate spoiler???

Looking forward to interacting some more on this Forum.

BarneyM?

Italy 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Fuji White

Hi all!
I'm from Italy and I bought a 2011 FL2 last December being quite happy 'til now. Smile
I'm coming from an Audi S3 which I loved sooooo much and I left behind with much tears Big Cry, so this new one will have a lot to demonstrate.
I wanted a totally different car so as not to make too many comparisons
And I wanted it spacious, comfortable, 4WD and (ideally) a car which can last 2 as well as 10 or 20 years.

Mine is a white TD4 S loaded with many optionals:
- Terrain Response (don't know if in Italy it was an optional or already present on S versions)
- Xenon headlights
- 18" wheels
- panoramic sunroof
- mid-line audio system
- front and rear parking sensors
and it is Land Rover Approved.

I read much in this forum in the last 2 months finding a lot of useful suggestions and I want to thank all of the contributors.
I hope I will be helpful too in the following years.

Romania 2015 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Fuji White

Greetings,

I'm glad to have discovered this wide Freelander 2 community.
Few words... proud owner of Freelander 2.2 td4 auto, 2014, XS with optionals such as heated windshield, steering wheel and front seats, tinted windows, xenon headlights, Hdd navi, Meridian Audio. I've done about 20k km since Jan 2015 when i've picked it up from the dealer and I'm very happy with the choice I've made.
I'm an enthusiast as many members to add extra goodies on the car so in the last year I,ve added OEM roof rack, a set of 20" rims from an RR Evoque, a chrome protection for the bumper under the tailgate. Now I'm searching for the body styling kit, have got some parts from the kit and looking for the rest.
The car is very well looked after, one of my hobbies is auto detailing so my FL2 is getting a lot of attention. Smile
