Sat Nav Screen Diagnostic Mode

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is a diagnostic mode on the Freelander 2 sat nav screen similar to that available on the D3/RRS?

Can I ask why it appears to be 'unsafe' to share this information?

I am sure I had seen the code to get into the diagnostic screen on this forum a few weeks earlier. Despite a thorough search of the forum I could not locate that post. Has it been deleted?

Anyways, I have 'rediscovered' the method and the pin code to access the diagnostic screen. I am happy to share this info if the site admin have no objections.

Denso Sat Nav Codes for Freelander 2

Guys I'm going to share the Sat Nav codes, mods can remove the post if they wish.
Please remember that I am not responsible if ANYTHING AT ALL goes wrong while you are trying this.

First enter the Menu screen (opens after you press 'agree' to LR's disclaimer or press the 'menu' button in the left-hand corner).
On the menu screen press the center of the top bar for 5 seconds. This is where the hidden button is located.
See pic below:

Now you will see the access screen as in the next pic:

Screwed up my nav - Help!!!

Embarassed

Fiddled with the diagnostic screen after entering the 660 code...
Pressed "Loading".. it asked "Load program?" and I confirmed "Yes"..

Now the nav does not work anymore.
Switched off and on ignition and everything but each time the nav starts, the button "Navigation" in the main menu grays out after 3 seconds.
I can press "Settings" and screen saver and it responds, but navigation is grayed out and inactive.

Beggin' for help...

as HOJU has posted pressing the wrong buttons can cause problems with the SATNAV functionality

The information posted is used at your own risk!!!

I would suggest it is not used unless you know the outcome!

DO NOT USE THE LOAD PROGRAM, function

I hope you get this problem sorted out asap

and welcome to the forum, I wish it was under better circumstances Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Well, today my nav did fix itself...

I was driving normally when suddenly the nav screen turned black. I stopped the car, turned ignition off, restarted and voila, nav is working!!

Puhh... now lets see what the other buttons in the diagnostic menu are for... Laughing
