Sunshine = Oztent, then Caravan, then new Caravan

Hey!

Well all it takes is a warm day and I want to go camping. I have chucked the carrying kit on the car so hopefully I will be able to be spontaneous.

Been for a drive and there is quite a bit of wind noise so will be fitting removable soundproof in the sunroof areas and just use it for when it starts to annoy as per pcheavens post.

Well, managed a few trips,

Really happy with oztent set up which made us want to also restart caravaning from a few years ago. This time we went different - from a top of the range brand new fixed bed swift conqueror last time to a tiny one this time, courtesy of a great deal from Martin, the site owners family Thumbs Up

It's currently getting spruced up prior to many weekends away Thumbs Up

On Martin's other fora there is much talk of trips - must be because everybody is getting cabin fever due to lack of trips in winter.

The tiny 'van above that we bought from Martin's family was mega. It made us consider getting right back into the posh camping lark. We went crazy and tried a small motorhome. Great, but restrictive in some respects as no tow car to take to the shop off the cuff etc

We realised we were converted to tiny 'vans (having had big ones in the past) so chopped in the IONA for a new Elddis dealer special

Chucked on an inflatable awning and we have the perfect solution for us. I highly recommend the kampa awnings too.

Car, van and awning all get the thumbs up from me. It looks like a really cool rig.

I haven't tried the inflatable awnings yet, how do you rate them??

Kevin,

Yeah, the inflatable awnings are great in our opinion. This particular brand only need blowing up at one point to erect the whole thing, it is up, pegged, guyed, and solid within 5 minutes on my own. Other brands that I have seen have some independent air poles which need inflating separately.

There are positives and minuses I suppose not each brand - but I have yet to find any issue whatsoever with the Kampa range. They are a little pricey though, more on par with the substantial Isabella awnings we had in the past.

The oztent is still the fastest erecting thing we have though! SD4 HSE Lux

What is better than the pitter patter of rain on a caravan roof when you are really warm and snuggled?.....Snow! lol. Last weekend in Clitheroe Thumbs Up
