Next step at the moment is I'm going to print off an entire copy of my CCF as we are now discovering that similar fields can be called different things or have changed name even though it's the same feature. By doing this we can compare codes rather than names to identify common fields. Once I've completed this task it's a matter of activating certain fields.
Why we doing this?
Have now been told that the "extra features" soft key will just pop up as an option on the touchscreen if we activate a feature which requires this.
Also that In fact any feature the Evoque has can be activated on the FL2 as the electrical and
Infotainment systems are identical. Some may require extra hardware but is totally possible, ie surround camera
System.
I'm not aiming for surround camera system but most Definitely going to activate the soft key feature for rear camera whilst in motion. This is really useful.
The 4x4 information is also a CCF activation which we are currently hunting down and I must thank Cambo Who's managed to track down some clues as LR don't make it obviously or easy to find, I suspect because it this easy to activate. But the proof will be in the pudding!
We are still a little way off atm, still a bit more investigation to do b4 going mad activating fields in CCF. MY15

Actually having the camera working while going forward would be handy for parking, while manoeuvring forward.

Due to our Roman rim destroying gutters I sometimes stick the car in reverse with the steering wheel square to get an instant update which I put to memory (ever shortening!) of how parallel & close I am to the gutter in relation to in front of the car. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

We believe we have tracked down the fields for "Rear Camera on the move" and "4 x 4"
Information screen. Both of these will be accessed from the "Extra Features" soft key.
Well actually there's 2 fields in CCF we believe we have to change for "Rear Camera on the move" as we did with the Premium sound edit, there's sometimes more than one field needing editing.

so does having the rear view camera running on the move effectively turn it into a non-recording dash cam?

if so would it be possible to wire in a forward camera as well and install a hard drive or flash drive to record the footage ?

I don't have a rear camera or anything but just thought id give you guys something to think about maybe

You'd need some sort of recording device inline with the feed to the screen.
I like to think anything is possible otherwise I wouldn't be letting you all know progress towards these goals.
