Probably like landrovers, some people get problems some don't. I love the apple stuff but I also use windows on the work pc. Horses and all that.

If it's confession time, here goes.
I have an Phone 5S - it's perfect for me. Fits in my pockets, unlike, I believe, the iPhone 6 or 6 plus.
I also have an iMac, iPad and iPad mini. They all do what they are supposed to without a fuss and the iMac doesn't need as OS rebuild every couple of years like my windows PCs always did when they slowed down to a crawl.

To the OP, hard luck with your drops and breakages. I'm often tempted to remove my protection case off the phone but just know the moment I do, I'll drop it and break something. I once replaced my own screen on an iPhone 4 - very scary. The kit sounded cheap at £20 off amazon but 3 hours later and 16 different sized screws removed had me wondering about the wisdom of my adventure. All worked out ok in the end ! Phew. FL2 2007 57 GS

dropped it forget how many times..... (must be over 50 )

Pay as you go sim never anymore than £30 on it plus extras for the month i top up

Was dropped and lost in snow two years ago by the car found a couple of days later put on a towel
took battery out (something you cant do with an I-phone ..!)left by radiator overnight
still works fine .......works in places where wifes fone cant even get a signal

Might upgrade this year and spend my Christmas money got £40 to spend NOT LOOKING FOR ANY I-PHONES THOUGH

So he spends £500 + on a new phone and does not get a decent case for it!
I agree that they are very slippery but they have to look good in order to sell, but are you buying a fashion accessory just like a girlie handbag or do you buy because it is the best phone out there by miles.
Buy it because it is a superb phone and then buy a case to protect your investment, because that is what it is.
Compare the resale value of a 2 year old android/ yang tong phone with that of the same age iPhone.
