i phone 6s bluetooth no connection?

Hi,

I have just bought a new iphone 6s, (upgraded from my old 4s)

My old 4s connected great with the 56 plate FL2 HSE, but now the car cant even detect the 6s?
I know the Bluetooth in the 6s is working fine because I have used it with a speaker ok.

any ideas?

Thanks,

Will keep trying!

yes the Bluetooth in the car works fine,

I know this because my old I phone 4s connected easily.

Now the car cant even see my iphone 6s, the bluetooth in the phone is working because
it connects to a speaker without any problem.

Thanks,

I know with my Bluetooth speaker I didn't have to set anything different on the phone or speaker. My phone (Galaxy S5) found the speaker and connected once I confirmed. I guess as the speaker is a receive only device it is permanently discoverable, but will only connect to one device at a time.

If you want a transmit/receive path, sending pics, handsfree etc then both devices need to be set to discoverable and then search. Once they have found each other, a pass code is generated to enter into your phone. Does your Iphone6 connect to other phones or devices (non apple) to create a 2 way connection.

That's why I suggested to check if your phone was set to discoverable or else the head unit would not see it. Iphones are notorious for being touchy for BT connectivity to non apple toys

Hi,

Thanks for the reply,

Yes the phone says it is discoverable and the car unit works with my old 4s,
so I don't know why the car cant find the 6s?
