There should be two, one in the rev counter area, means engine, the second has an exclamation mark in it and is situated in the centre rectangular display, means engine management. All according to my manual.

You're going have to get the code read.

What I did a while ago was buy http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00BMHAILG/ref=...TE_3p_dp_1 which you plug into the OBDII port.
And download an App onto my phone called "Torque Lite (free)" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details...torquefree
which connects to the Bluetooth and allows you to read the fault code. Then you can look up the code on the internet and find what's gone wrong. Thumbs Up

It could be any number of things, you need to get a DTC from the car to identify what has put the MIL light on.

It happened to my Son's FL2 a couple of months back. turned out to be a seized Turbo and EGR valve. done under warranty thankfully but it cold just be a dirty connection on a sensor or split hose for instance.

Has the car gone into de-rate/limp mode Question

Ian.

It takes less than a minute to connect an OBD2 reader and read any stored /active DTC's and if present will lead you straight to the area of the fault. If you don'y buy a cheap one ask your local garage to do it for you.
